Craig Sherman
Actor

Craig as Handsome Al in Magma Head

Born 1978

Roles:
Handsome Al (Magma Head)
Arvin (Sledgehammers at Dawn)

Originally from Dallas, TX, Craig "Sherman" Sherman met Amazing Schlock
cofounder Patrick Casey when they both attended Boston University. During
Sherman's Senior year, he dated a housemate of Pat's, and found himself
spending more time in Pat's room watching Murder Made Easy and
Frankenstein's Roommate than he did in the girlfriend's room. Continuing to
loiter around Pat's dorm, even after his own graduation, Sherman earned the
role of Handsome Al in Magma Head.

In late 2001, when Pat & Worm prepared to make the trek from Boston to Los
Angeles, Sherman tagged along. At that point, he was banking on his
high-profile connections (Sherman went to high school with Jessica Simpson),
but alas, those did not bear fruit.

Upon arriving in L.A., Sherman quickly found an apartment big enough for two
of them. The Max, as it became known, a 2-bedroom apartment in beautiful
Encino, Ca, became home to all three (Sherman got the master bedroom, Pat &
Worm bunked up in the other one). It was during their time living together
that Sherman contributed to the postproduction and commentary track of Magma
Head.

When Pat & Worm sold their first Hollywood Script, Sherman got to visit the
set of the final film, National Lampoon Presents Dorm Daze, appearing in the
background of an early scene. If you blink, you'll miss him, so he has
stills on his website. <http://theshermaneffect.com/movieappearances.html>

When Sherman got a big-time Executive Assistant job for a boutique
production company in Beverly Hills, things really appeared to be going his
way. He left The Max (as Pat & Worm had also) for Hollywood, moving into a
spacious 1-bedroom place, affectionately called Club House West, an homage
to the "Club House," Sherman's studio apartment in Boston where Pat & Worm
spent many an idle hour before heading west.

Unfortunately, Sherman's successful film production career was short-lived.
Laid off from the production company on Christmas of 2003, he spent most of
2004 doing small graphic-design projects (including the webmastery of
AmazingSchlock.com!), via his website The Sherman Effect
<http://www.theshermaneffect.com>, but nothing major enough to kick-start a
career.

This "in-between time" afforded Sherman the opportunity to return to the
Amazing Schlock set. Sherman played the role of Arvin, the fussy roommate,
in Sledgehammers At Dawn. He maintains the role is not at all inspired by
his own personality as Pat & Worm's former roommate.

At the beginning of 2005, Sherman came to embrace his aptitudes for
technology and gadgetry, and he founded At Home With Technology
<http://www.ahwtech.com>, a consulting firm dedicated to "Taking The Mystery
Out Of Technology." In this capacity, he acted as Systems Manager for
Gamebox 1.0 and unofficial "Tech Guru" for Amazing Schlock.

Sherman still lives in Club House West in Hollywood, where he holds weekly
get-togethers, "prayer group," for his friends. He is always eager to do his
part for Amazing Schlock, certain that some day soon they will call upon At
Home With Technology to outfit their Bel Air mansions with all the latest
toys, Entourage-style.
