Worm and Pat met Mark while being extras in quite possibly the worst movie ever shot in Minnesota; Here on Earth. Worm liked the fact that Mark was sort of handsome in a weird ugly way and cast Mark as Kyle 4, the handsome TV actor, in The Movie From the Future. His other appearances in Amazing Schlock films have come basically by random chance of him being around when we needed someone and Mark was always game.

Mark, who tells people he is 5'10 but is in reality 5'8, has had a strange and varied career since playing Kyle 4. He was briefly a male model, appeared in a Colgate commercial that we never saw and think he's lying about, and has served as First Assistant Director on various projects. While in film school he frequently found ways to trick Worm into writing projects for him to direct (such as saying he'll pay Worm $75 and then only giving him $50). Since graduating he has gone to work for producer David Foster (Mask of Zorro, The Core), as well as continued working on his own projects.
