Nate
fills an odd sort of specialty at Amazing Schlock. Usually in our
films, our core actors' parts are written with them in mind, because
we believe in hardcore typecasting. This is done to give the illusion
that all our actors are really good, when in reality, they are merely
really good at one or two kinds of characters that we just keep
reusing and making slightly different. Nate's roles, though, are
never written for him. Why, we don't know. They just aren't, and
that's the way things go.
"Who should play Billiam?"
"Nate could play that."
"Yeah, he'd be funny."
So on and so forth.
So,
more than most of our core players, Nate's roles are always very
different (does he play them all differently? That's up to you). The
only role that was ever written for Nate was Zach, in Hey, Stop
Stabbing Me!, but because of a scheduling error, Nate had to
be replaced. He later obtained a different character (that was,
of course, not written for him). So the circle of Nate continues!
Don't
feel bad for Nate, though. He's Mexican, so he has really nice looking
skin on camera! (We are too lazy to given anyone make-up. You got
a zit? Tough.)
Nate
has also served the useful purpose of introducing us to his little
sister, Maria, who he told us
"looks like a boy." Fortunately, puberty was kind to Maria,
who now looks like a girl. Puberty was less kind to Nate, who was
once thin, and is now kinda fat. Ha ha ha haa...
